Christina was diagnosed with Sporadic Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 2 in May of 2004. She had been treated with IV of antioxidant reduced glutathione, calcium EAP and NADH. She also showed an allergy to several substances and as a result, she was receiving an allergy desensitization serum. In the past one to two years, there had been a dramatic progression in her speech difficulties and her balance / gait problems.
Treatment started on december 20th, 2006.
Before the treatment

Christina’s gait was wide based and unsteady: consequently, her balance was poor and she could not tandem walk. Her muscles were stiff and sore and some of her fine motor skills declined, causing fatigue and slight depression. Christina’s speech was slurred.

After the treatment
Her mobility improved: she was no longer stiff and sore and pain disappeared. She recovered flexibility in her legs and started to bend her knees. Christina had a better weight transfer and her balance improved. When walking outside, in case there was a dip in the sidewalk, she could naturally flex to meet the weight change, and this does not threw her off balance. She could stand on one foot and walk up and down the stairs without using the railings. Christina could hold things better and write and her speech improved. Quite clearly, the return of these many capabilities helped her mood a lot.
