Val's gait was very unsteady and she needed to hold the wall when walking. She had stiffness in her legs and the muscles cramps were terrible. Her coordination was poor and the legs were very weak, hence she got easily fatigued and had difficulty in staying awake. Val had poor depth perception and lacked of fine motor skills (e.g. writing). Speech was garbled, cough was continuous, heat tolerance was low and on top of it all, she suffered from gastro-intestinal problems.
