Jackie had symptoms since 1982, and Multiple Scerosis was diagnosed in 1985. She was wheelchair bound and experienced a lot of pain.
Before the treatment
Jackie had very little sensitivity in her legs and feet along with a feeling of pain that increased as the day went on, often unbearable in her feet.
She could not move her legs or ankles, and did not feel grounded when she stood. Her balance was not good and her muscles were weak. Her feet were always cold, and this feeling got worse by the end of the day. Jackie's right hand was generally numb. She sometimes felt like having tightening bands around her torso. Her left eye had a light veil over it, and both eyes were oversensitive to bright light. She often woke up at 2 or 3 a.m. and was unable to sleep again.Videos:

After the treatment
On july 19th her legs were much more flexible and her ankles could move. While she was laying in bed she was able to move her legs a little, something that had not happened for three years. She had generally more sensitivity in her legs and feet. Her feet were warm and even when they happened to be cold again, this caused comfort, not pain. Sometimes her balance seemed better. Most of pain was gone, which is what she really was hoping for when she decided to give stem cells a chance.
The situation of the right hand was better: sometimes the numbness disapperared, and one time she was even able to feel some cold on it. The feeling of tight bands around her waist was gone. Jackie no longer needed sleeping pills to fall asleep and generally could sleep through the night. Bladder control was better, even though Jackie thinks it was acceptable even before the treatment.

Note
Part of Jackie's treatment was done at Nan Shan Hospital in Shenzhen and the rest at Beike's center in Qingdao.
The main 2008 Olympic Games venue is Beijing, but Qingdao will host the sailing competition. Jackie runs a worldwide non-profit community called Sailability, whose purpose is making it easy for all types of people - including disabled, old, young, poor and rich - to sail quickly and easily.
Jackie decided to go to Qingdao to have her program set up there way ahead of the Olympics. Her ideas were welcomed by top government officials, and she made two television appearances.
