Hello everybody, my name is Raffaele Mallardo , I'm born in Villaricca the 25/07/1985 and I live in Giugliano in Campania (NA). In the year 1991, only at 6 years old, was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 1.
Because of the disease during the time I lost most of my bodily functions and my hope was that with a medical care to achieve better balance, mobility, coordination and speech, and my dream was to be able to walk again and be independent of the 100 %.

Today, after the treatment with umbilical cord stem cells with factor stimulating growth of nerve tissue began in Thailand on 15 August 2008 until 09 September 2008, with 6 injections including 4 spinal and 2 intravenous, I have achieved an improvement of the 70%.

Before the treatment my movements were uncoordinated and had difficulty in speaking.
